Everything is Temporary

Probably not too many days go by that I don't think about my parents, especially my dad.

Nothing seemed to bother him, at least he'd never show it. I remember my mom would have a fit about his "temporary" shelters he'd build for their chickens. They were always very crude in construction. He'd tell her, "it's only temporary!" Everything was always temporary and he'd never sweat about her, at times, cutting remarks. He handled everything in stride. I sure miss my dad's, and mom's, wisdom and ways of doing things. Guess most everyone who's lost a parent who they were close to feels this way.

If we could be reminded when stress creeps into our lives (and someone wrote a book of this title)..."Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" - because life is too short.
